Daddy was right! Fridays are Fish Nights. We had fish for dinner today, the fish and chips sort . Expectedly, it wasnt too fantastic haha but nonetheless its fish! I just got back from wei rong's room where everyone is watching csi HAHA we are nuts. Am suppossed to oovoo mummy but oovoo is down! Of all times.. I wonder if I should stop trying to sign in and go back up..

Went to chinatown today. Nicolo, the Italian guy who will one day treat us to a home cooked pasta meal, met us at Connaught. Then we met Kai Jian the GPS at the main quad. Anyway, on to Chinatown, where, for the first time since I arrived, I saw pao and char siew and roast duck . Gosh the sight made me so hungry. BUT, we didnt eat anything. Everything was so unbelievably pricey! Steamed rice, plain good ol' steamed white rice, costs 2.50 pounds. That translates into 6SGD!  For a bowl! My eyes boggled and I lost whatever craving I had had.

We ended up grabbing lunch at the Macs along Regent Street. 99p burger, titled Mayo Chicken Burger, nicknamed mei yo chicken burger (no chicken). haha!

And this was the best part of the afternoon, Hamleys!!! Its a toy shohp, a seven storey toy shop filled with the cutest, most fascinating toys ever. I playd with an inflatable alien spaceship, a big train setup, and countless crazily adorable soft toys. We oohed and aahed for close to an hour before forcing ourselves to move on. There were bubble blowers at the enterance!

The 4 of us girls then embarked on our ambitious afternoon of shopping. Primark Primark Primark! I got a scarf, and Changling and I lost Weirong and Liu. haha the best part was, we totally ignored the fact that we couldnt find each other, and just continued shopping, assuming we'd bump into each other at some point :)

yay mom can skype me now, hello mom!

25 September 2009 @ 10:18 am
hello bowl of peas, I've decided to revive you :) mostly because Im stuck in my room most nights and besides homwork, there pretty much isnt anything to do cause everyone (save for tri) is asleep already. I do miss Singapore quite a bit! Especially  now that mom and sis have gone to china, I skpye much less with family now. sigh. Shall upload pics in a bit to show you all my room! Its in the basement, and its cold and faces what I strongly suspect is th rubbish area, but in the end, I guess its "home". It still feels wierd to say that.

Its pretty cold here in London, and I spend half my time washing clothes, but overall life's pretty fun! Except that for some reason, Im dropping much more hair after I arrived. Must be the weather or smt. SOBBBBBB!

day 1: the long long flight from singapore-doha-london, during which I obsessively and vehemently guarded my precious passport and luggage. Skype with family in doha. Finally got to heathrow. Finally got to Connaught Hall. Couldnt find my room, a nice and gorgeous french girl called jessie helped me. In the end, it turned out that my room is near-next to hers! before dinner she bought organic nuts and invited changling and I to te part opposite to feed these overweight squirrells, by hand. great fun.

day 2: met more singaporeans. went to Tottenham Court Road with changling and brian, then headed to UCL to pay school fees. UCL's so incredibly beautiful. I think its in art due to the fact that UCL's really old, so though school is located in centrral london, we still hvae a campus, complete with lawns (albeit smallish) and grand steps. Next we headed to Oxford street to buy tights. A lovely, lovely place. Walked till my toes reached breaking point..

day 3/4: INternational Students Orientation Prog. One word: boring. haha we ended up giving most of it a miss, and headed down to Waitrose for lunch. I fell in love with the strawberries there. Plump, red, totally not bruised in any place, and only 1pound for a huge punnet. But I got a sandwitch in the end. HAHA.

Oh I almost forgot about the dinner reception for intl students. It was set in a park near Connaght Hall. We turned the corner and saw the venue. Almost fairy tale like, at first. A large white tent set up in the middle of the park, with chandeliers hanging from te ceiling and waiters in white standing errect behind tables lined with wine glasses. Till I tasted the wine. Eek. hahha I stuck to juice from then on. But, the worst was yet to come.  Food arrived soon after, on silver trays, carried on one hand by the waiter in white. Everything was romantic and classy till I tasted my first hors d'oeuvre. It was Cucumber with a dollop of white sauce on top, and garnished with a leaf. Were I to describe the taste, I would say the dish can be likened to a cousin of puke. It was positively awful, one of worst tasting food I hadd ever eaten. Till I tasted what was on the next platter that came my way,  "potato cake with pear chutney". That was pretty good. Then came the most awful of them all, "celery with furniture-polish-flavour-sauce and walnut topping". That was absolutely gag worthy. Even worse than the cucumber, a feat I had previously thought was near impossible. I downed an entire glass of juice and still the taste lingered. oh my gosh, terrible. There were a few saving graces though, this tart thing filled ith tuna and peppers was pretty tasty.

Oh and on day 4, for lunch, Weirong and I got punnets of strawberries from a roadside fruit stall. So delicious. The best part was, it cost us only 1 pound. The five of us Singaporeans with no parents over tro entertain ate lunch in the park, and walked fast the whole day. Felt like a true Brit HAHA. Then we visited teh British Library. A humongus place. In the centre of the entire building is a glass column of books, extending from te basement till the top floor. Its called "King's Library", and inside are books that look hundreeds of years old, leather-bound, hand sewn, and embossed in gold lettering.. NOrmal ppl cant gain access though. See no touch. haha

Day 5/today: had breakfast, siphoned off some food for lunch haha an egg and an apple. yum :(
anyway, today is "chinatown day". We're going to explore chinatown and hopefully find some food that reminds us of home :)

Bye!

28 January 2009 @ 02:31 pm

i should be famished by now but i dont feel that hungry. im guesssing that i'm burning the considerable store of fat accumulated over the cny break. but that tiny consequence aside, chinese new year is the best festival of the year, hands down. i love this time of the year so much. i think i must be one of few people who actually like meeting ''distant'' relatives (meaning, those whom i come into extensive contact with for a day or two during cny, then nada for the other 363 days). i remember, when all of my paternal relatives came over to my place on the first day, it got late so everyone streamed out to the porch. the twenty-something of us were saying goodbye and whatnots there when my indian neighbour looked out of his window, probably wondering what the noise was about. so while everyone was moving to their cars, my cousin commented ''everything we wanted to say in a year we say tonight/today''. reallly hit home haha. but really, with some relatives, meeting less often does our relationship good. some are really nice and fun to chat with, but some are seriously antagonistic and self absorbed and silent. okay, its only one person. and im not going to feel bad about saying it cause its the truth. to me, cny is actually a challenge of sorts: an hour or so to make an impression to last a year. love it

then there's the other side of cny. gathering with people you love and appreciating that everyone is there. reunion dinner was prepared by aunt pp this year instead of grandma. less complicated dishes, great effort nonetheless (:        i love everyone, i love all 15 of us

oh lunch now, how do i save this as a  draft?????

i cooked a fried rice for dinner tonight. it tasted pretty good! just that the rice was kinda hard, but i shouldnt be held accountable for that cause i didnt cook that haha anyway im listening to Glory of Love by peter cetera, who is an extremely old man. this song was sang, by him, in the 1980's. gosh. i love these old songs, cant understand what kind of idiot one must be to write a song that goes ''womaniser, womaniser.... womaniser, womaniser''. heard it on radio this morning and i swear the whole song revolved arund that. utterly crass and meaningless, what a dumb song, seriously. at least give the poor britney something slightly decent to sing.

anyway, choki, im so sorry i didnt go. i truly didnt feel up to it, dont be pissed at me anymore!

and this just came to me suddenly. i wish i were in harry potter universe. couple of years back, when i was reading the series, i always wished that. forgot about it for a while now, but i just thought of it today. maybe they recruit only of-age wizards in the real world. gosh im nuts hahaha

20 January 2009 @ 04:25 pm

Just got back from cny lunch, Serena’s treat. The char siew so was fantastic, mmm! There was so much food: 6 courses, preceded by about 10 dishes of dim sum. Oh, Theresa couldn’t decide which of the two versions of duck would taste better, so she ordered half a duck of each version. The two versions were: USA duck and normal duck. Right… Anyway, USA duck was just the regular roast duck you can get elsewhere. Then came this dish that looked like pork ribs in citrus sauce. But, what we ordered was sweet and sour pork ribs. We figured that this was a dish meant for another table, but it looked rather yummy so we tucked in regardless. It tasted exactly like what we assumed it was, pork, fried pork. Turned out that this pork tasting meat was the ‘’normal duck’’ dish! Now, Duck does not taste like this. Normal, indeed.

In all, it was a great lunch. Mr Martin told us about the drunk Japanese who ‘’fought till the end’’ of the golf game, you gotta admire those Japanese for their spirit. I guess this is the good thing about a small firm; the atmosphere is cosier, everyone is friendly and happy, and the working environment is relaxed. My favorite friend is Rena, who sits to my right. She is a pretty malay lady who always insists on treating me to lunch or teh tarik. And I’m absolutely in awe of Mr Martin. He is so utterly cool, and he speaks so well, and is so intelligent and wise. And he is compassionate too. He is one of those people whom, within a couple of minutes of meeting him, you can tell that he is a born lawyer. He says such interesting things, about judges and cases and golf and Japanese.

40 mins till 4.30

Anyway, I was telling choki, I’m feeling exceedingly happy today because I’m wearing my fire skirt. I love it, it’s so pretty. So far I’ve worn 3 kinds of office wear: blouse-and-pants, dress, flare-y skirt. I haven’t tried pencil skirt though. Maybe next next week, after I’ve lost the cny weight I’ll be putting on next week. I’ve decided the ugliest of the 3 kinds I’ve worn so far is the blouse-and-pants outfits. Shall not wear them anymore. But I’ve almost exhausted all my office outfits, I think I will have by the end of this week. So ill probably have to start repeating. But actually work outfits are quite nice, though all the skirts are so long and shorts are out. But actually long skirts are good too; in fact, they look much classier than the denim skirts. Only pants are not nice.

Gosh I’m so full. I don’t know why, though. Maybe it was the tea. I drank a lot of tea because I was too embarrassed to turn the rotating glass towards me. Whenever my plate was empty, and the dish that happened to be in front of me wasn’t the one I wanted, I would drink tea. Since this occurrence is due partly to luck, and since I’m not very lucky, I ended up drinking a lot of tea.

15 mins till 4.30

oh no, im starting to think that Mr Martin has forgotten about bringing me to meet the client at 4.30. its already past time and he seems nowhere near done with the client currently in his office. in fact, i think the one in his office now is the 4.30 one! just that he came early. sob, i love meeting clients, its like listening to a story and thinking of ways to present the story in the most advantageous light to the courts. exciting.

HELLO 2009!

clarke quay was waay hot, noisy, and crowded, but the atmosphere was good. the best part was the falling balloons, at the stroke of midnight exactly. suddenly, hundreds of coloured balloons began decending all around us, they were piling up at our feet! there were so many so many balloons, and samba dancers and fire eaters! and the music was not bad too! and we took some nice pics, and some unglam ones haha the most memorable things were: balloon shower, cheese ball, counting down, 20 sec yellojello walk-through (:
oh, and our devil's horns (treat from sam, thanks!).  its too bad jas and jx couldnt come, we missed you two!

met the cambodia people earlier on for lunch, shiying had on this pair of suspenders with piano keys all over. it was so wacky, so her. on the phone with tri now, doing the ''usual'', menaing we're each doing our own stuff with the phone batteries slowly dying next to us haha

hopefully 2009 will be as fun a year as the countdown to it! may it be filled with peace, good health, stellar result slips, and friends and family!

08 December 2008 @ 11:50 pm
yeeebohomaashoo!              did the most exciting thing today (well, to me at least), i made a pair of spectacles! i gotta say i've been absolutely loving weekends lately. dim sum, linda's food, southern ridges, squashy cars... im so thankful (:      SIGH save for that one little issue thats always always there, at the back of my mind.

prom was pretty fun: the tallll indian host was unforgettably entertaining, the millions of photos we took, esp those in the hands-on-hip paegant like poses on the stairs gosh, the pathetic food, and i dont know, the friends and the atmosphere. it was a fitting way to to say, goodbye hwachong, i guess. oh and everyone looked great! photos another time.

it was so upsetting that sats was the very next morning. saw a couple of hc people, each as zombie-ish as i and leeza were haha. i kept nodding off during the paper, every option looked the same. thank god, in a rare moment of clarity, i managed to put out a decent section 1 essay. hopefully it'll take me far enough!

im going to be tutoring my little cousin english, using the tuition notes i mugged back in pri school haha the pay is performance based (:  pretty motivating!

27 November 2008 @ 01:21 am
edit: hmm just found out ting kun is even worse, he doesnt even look in the mirror and  just pinches the contacts out. he calls his method the '' anehow method''. regardless, i shall use the newfound method from now on. afetr i muster enough confidence to wear them again.

I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS, i have been removing my contacts in the wrong way all this while! that adds up to about 2 years, excluding this year. oh my god, i NEVER KNEW i was supposed to dip my head, slide the lens to the bottom etc etc. i think the way i do it is the no-no way! thank god i googled how t remove lenses tonight oh crap i am kinda worried now but its too late to call any optometrist! oh i cant spell that

27 November 2008 @ 12:05 am

my eyes are so red now!. the left one in particular. this always happens, i never seem to get the hang of removing my left eye contact. i feel like im  scratching my cornea oh gosh
really wanna go for lasik, now.

im so irritated with contacts, im swearing them off for the rest of this week. as a solution of sorts, i shall go make a nice pair of specs and follow this ratio from now on to avoid killing my eyes - 4:3, specs to contacts. or maybe even 5:2, although that would actually make wearing monthly disposables rather unworth it?

i can feel this stinging sensation in my left eye now, about 10 mins after getting the conatcs out. i hope its psychological! i better go google the danger of contact lenses now. so freaky so freaky

AND whenever i wear contacts i get sighness! watery nose, itchy eyes.... i dont see the connection at all, but there it is. thatk god i didnt wear contacts for the most part of this year or i'd probably half blind by now, shiver

today another horrible thing happened, on public transport. i got so so lost. well, not lost lost because technically i still knew where i was. i overshot my destination station by four stops. which was only the first of the three misfortunes. when the mrt voice went ''next stop: A'', i did a double take and rushed off.

this station A (i think it was book keng) is a ridiculous station. i had always thought trains on opposite platforms run in opposite directions. so since i overshot by 4 stops, taking the opposite trains would take me back to my station. but oh no no. boon keng is different, the train took me even further in the wrong direction. so i eneded up 5 stops away from clarke quay. then i alighted at dhoby guat and got confused about the lines and finding sam. argh!

then i came home and couldnt get the left contact out. AGHHHHHH. hate hate hate contacts and public transport.

17 November 2008 @ 02:27 pm

I CANNOT GET OVER IT
I CANNOT BELIEVE I LOST MARKS FOR A REGURGITATION QUESTION
and so many marks!

TWENTY SIX  freaking marks
all i wrote was pure trash
was just on stomp.com, but couldnt find anything on bio paper 3. maybe it was too easy a paper, not worth anyone's time to discuss? BUT OF COURSE its simple, it was just regurgitation.

using cause-and-effect analysis:
all Bs
cry
no med school
no law school
no scholarships, hell, no INTERVIEWS
no nothing

i sincerely hope accountancy takes people with 4 Bs. in the worst case scenario, there's still nursing and engineering i guess. which i have no aptitude and attitude for totally. I DONT KNOW oh S**T, seriously

but maybe even B is  wishful thinking. for gp, the first of the many screw-ups, B would be pushing it. MODERATE please, cambridge. moderate me up oh my god what the hell

this is way selfish, but in times of peril i spare thoughts for only myself: i wonder (read: hope/pray) the rest of singapore didnt study HGP too. (sorry).
AHHH human genome project  why why why

maybe i should go over to leeza's house and meet her and hz, i think im getting a little obsessive over this
I STILL CANT GET OVER IT!

THIRTY NINE

17 November 2008 @ 11:33 am
edit: leeza and hz insist on not walking the short distance to my place, tsk the lazy bums

oh my god

i am SO MAD at myself for not studying the HGP. stupid, imbecile, dumbass hanlin who is dense enough not to study the possibly five highest weightage pages in the paper. even somatotrophin would have been better! and emra which i thought was protoplast culture! and the advantages of viral system, and the liposomes inhalation, AND the bacterial plasmid AND..

this is utterly unsalvagable! i cannot go on, this is pure misery

luck is so not on my side this exams season. it should never be the factor to make or break a grade, but for lazy imbeciles like myself, i wish i had just that little bit more. argh! no one to blame but myself

googling the most fitting word to describe myself today gives this:
Main Entry:imbecile
Part of Speech:adjective
Definition:stupid, foolish
Synonyms:asinine, backward, deranged, dim-witted, dull, fatuous, feeble-minded, idiotic, imbecilic, inane, ludicrous, moronic, simple, simple-minded, slow, thick, witless

yes, absolutely, i am asinine (what?), backward, deranged blah blah whatever whatever, words are insufficient to describe the blockhead that i am

i hope leeza and hz will come over to visit later, after they finish their mcq paper :)

been pigging out on chocolate cake, dont feel very much more cheerful though. but i guess after losing THIRTY FIVE MARKS, only a complete nutcase would be able to feel happy/happier
i must will shall get 38 and above for thursday's paper

SAMMMM when are you coming back! jas says 22nd? you email me the instant you read this hahhhah

04 June 2008 @ 12:22 am
STUDY STUDY STUDY EASY PEASY

all i need to do this hols is sit at the table and study. talk cant get any cheaper than this. why am i so distracted and relaxed WHY
ohh my god i swear, i have a premonition that im gonna be even lazier this time round than for o levels.

as always, all words and no action. i think that might as well become my life motto, its already such an integral part of my day to day existence anyway. i need the shun effect hahaaha shunnn save me

econs: the worst, most yawn inducing, i-have-not-a-single-ounce-of-passion-for subject. my disgust at studying it is rivalled only by physics

to think i thought JC would be my most hardworking of years as a student. and now im wasting precious time blogging when i could totally have just 'said' all that above to myself in my head.

i am so incredibly disgusted with myself for postponing SATS yet again. what kind of person postpones SATS from may to june to december, geez. only people seriously lacking in time management skills and discipline have to take such drastic measures to save themselves from terrible scores, said people obviously being me. i, who said ill do practice papers but didnt even complete three, out of which all were from the simplest book.

this is KARMA, this is what goes around comes around, this is retribution, i know. this is what happens when you sit in a macdonalds full of neighbourhood school students and mock them silently for speaking terrible english and not being able to differentiate the US from the UN, and bae yong jun from ban ki moon. if i end up with a dismal grades slip in march next year, if i dont get into med or law school, the tables will totally be turned on me, and it'll all be karma

i think, i would survive best in africa

on a side note, jia got curls! kinda makes me think of prom when she curled her hair. grow, hair, grow, i want longer hair too and bangs. i wish i had thicker hair! awful wispy lack of hair me shall return to the fruitless task of reading notes since nothing seems to get into my brain
i am so fascinated by that bolt guy from jamacia. it is just amazing how anyone can run 10 odd metres in one second. it is incomprehensible; one thousand, two thousand, and the man's already zoomed, i cant think of another word that would do him justice, past you to the other end of the room. and thats even assuming the room is 10m or longer. i cant believe there are those who arent wowed, yvonne im talking to you hhah

22 April 2008 @ 11:22 pm
i cant believe i havent come online for close to a month. not that i really missed the internet that much, i barely even noticed its absence, what with mdm ching breathing down my neck every single opportunity she gets. i swear, i now associate morning assemblies with ching whispering in this conspirical tone, ''have you been studying? must study harder, okay?''.  granted though, i deserve it; i cant think of even a single lame excuse for my pathetic grades. my god, may some divine force save me from my terrible, terrible, terrible - i cannot emphasize this enough- progress report; which in any case, can hardly even be called a progress report.

my god i cant stand this blog layout, stupid pink/brown background pisses me off. i want a simple, white notebook kind-of layout but ill never get down to searching for one, i know for sure. ahh, lazy me strikes again.

everyone seems to be having revelations about their life/attitudes/relationships/priorities, but i, and i detest myself for saying this, am still living in my seemingly un-burstable little opaque bubble where i
(A): think that the a' levels are eons away, which i know is so, so far from the truth. like i could well have spent the two hours i've just spent in front of the computer screen, rotting away, preparing for mock SPA A, which is tomorrow. but i dont care and i dont want to care, just for tonight. although ching is going to pounce on me again when i write crap tomorrow :(
(B): dont really care anymore, i dont even want to try. whatever, really. in tk's words, ''it doesnt matter'', say it properly hahha

courageous people who stand up and fight for what they want, i admire them. i guess the rebellion has taught me something, in that sense. talking and trying to convince passive people whose only (dying) wish is to glue their butts to their chairs and hope that the (valiant) efforts of others will suffice is so damn irritating. i hope they split the class, that'll show them. then there are those who want to be nice, which i guess is really their own choice to make, but the nice ones always finish last, i believe. but okay i must admit, i didnt want to go see the cool woman at first too, but that was purely cause i thought we as students wouldnt be able to make much of an impact (which i now realise is a flawed idea), not cause i was scared of her or unwilling to take action.

good luck zkpk for your match! YOU CAN DO IT! may watermalong and w and big boy and doubleJ and - i cant remember which i have left out - many more, give you luck! and we'll run 2.4 with a kick-ass timing this fri too, yea? pat pat, yvonne, you'll always be a great player to me, truly. good luck jas, hope you make the right descision, whatever it is.

chinese makes me so happy, the only subject where my level ranking is denoted by a single digit.

if only the corhort size was not 10 haha. but nonetheless,
a single digit is a single digit.
hhah see the bubble thing im talking about?

goodnight (:

26 March 2008 @ 08:34 pm
there you go, sam (:   and i want to know more about maritus girl next time!

FREEDOMMMMMM, at long last. though in all honesty, i dont think i was that 'un-free' in the weeks leading up to blocks, considering all that sleeping i did. but what's done is done, so i shall show my prowess during blocks 2, I SWEAR I WILL. i will study as hard as leeza x jess and do as well as ma long, yea i will

had S71 class outing after the highly mortifying bio paper. a pathetic number of people turned up, ten to be exact; too few and too many haha. and jess has mastered a new laugh, though her lungs are not powerful enough to reach the required pitch; and i shall master the look one day.

fate (and a bus driver) disrupted today's shopping plans sigh. and lest jess says im not compassionate, thank god he is not seriously injured. there's always the weekend (:
and in the meantime, i shall live my lonely existence with xl. i calculated, and i need to wake up at 5.40 tomorrow or risk getting another demerit point. so 5.40 it is.

the funny show is starting, must not miss it

07 February 2008 @ 11:48 pm
happy chinese new year!

tossing the yusheng in school was such a messy affair, but i guess i should be appreciative that hwa chong actually gave each class 3 relatively decently sized platters of yusheng to toss. but hey, all that independent school fees that we pay has got to amount to something, right?
i was so damn drained by the time i left orchard. bleagh. and i pathetically ran home from the mrt station cause i thought i was late for reunion dinner haha but it turned out that i had enough time to even catch a short nap.

i love reunion dinners. its actually a great concept, if you think about it. tradition forcing everyone to come together, sit down, laugh, and have steamboat. but i got damn scared, but i know its just paranoia. the family as an institution, the family as building blocks of society, yada yada yada, but its really quite true. the place where you will always belong, the ones i can sit alone among and not feel weird, where i can stone for an entire day and not feel anti-social, haha, family indeed.

visiting was incredibly tiring today, i have no idea why. i was falling asleep at aunt alice's house during dinner. as usual, dad and mom's friends' new year goodies were so much yummier than relatives' ones. none of my dad's relatives read this blog, i hope. godgrandma's traditional indonesian goodies were wonderful as usual, though i always get this 'my catfishhhhh'' feeling when i see her. the grand old dame, i miss waterside and all the people there. the borrowing scooters and hiding keys, the mama shop and incredible amount of dad's friends who live there. they always have the best food, maybe its an indonesian thing. yvonne has good pineapple tarts too, i must devise a plan to wring some out of her. MMM. mr ng's house was beautiful. it shall be my dream concept, marrying cosiness with.. ahh i dont know. the deco is really unique and quirky.one day, i shall buy a house along university road too and build my own glass and wood house hahah

i cant believe the contrast between my paternal and maternal relatives. i can drop by my uncle's place at midnight in drawstring pjs and humomgous shirts, but i wouldnt dream of meeting my paternal relatives in say, specs or fbts. oh well.

get well soon tri, ill meet you SOMETIME next week i swear sam, leeza pick up my calls. and yvonne, how many times do i have to say this, they will THINK it although they wont SAY it out loud.

have a properous and healthy new year everyone!
im so happy im chinese (: i love cny.

ohh i almost forgot. the racial harmony spirit in singapore is actually not imaginary! outside the hindu temple at chinatown, there hung a banner reading ''wishing all chinese, happy lunar new year'. i was so impressed. how incredibly fascinating. and my indian neighbour gave us two oranges and a box of chocolates (:

jia jun and ian tui's hobby is rather good, i shall learn from them and read wikipedia when i feel bored too. maybe leeza and i can become the next ian and jia jun haaaha

12 January 2008 @ 10:27 pm

'campfire was awesome.' standing in the packed central plaza, arms around friends, belting out those cheena songs i once despised, the feeling is just amazing, unforgettable.  its school spirit, camaraderie, tootness, gratitude and hope rolled into this big euphoric mass of emotions. this is the good old days, you know. cause this is what im gonna remember when i've forgotten all about integration and foot of perpendiculars and prophase, metaphase and telophase.

i love hc, i love all the people i thought about when i was singing, i love the class benches and the wings, i love s71 and all you other wonderful people, i love the bridge and the clock tower , the cheers and the songs. i love hwa chong, go to hell, all you people who think raffles is better. haha kidding kidding whatever. many apologies to hewlett for messing up the turns and those who had to bear with my singing (:

06 January 2008 @ 09:22 pm

HHAAH im having quite a lot of fun asking people to come down for sl, WANYIN you crazy girl i havent seen you in so long!

thanks jx, the food was MMMMMM haahhah i wanna try your cakes! shabu shabu! sleepovers at jx's place are always food filled affairs. sago, mushrooms and 3 second pork, and all that chocolate. thank god height and weight is already past ha
i feel so healthy today. man, sam dragged me out of bed at 7plus and i walked all the way to toa payoa mrt to go to tution MYSELF (: and after  that i came home MYSELF too. haha breathing in all that fresh morning air, awesome. i love heartlands in the early mornings.
supposed to do some econs worksheet now but oh well. OH we watched this crazy show, Blades of Glory. oh my goodness. HAHAAH it was hilarious but sick at times. although the nutty elvis inspired cover of the dvd made all of us go HUH?? at first, it turned out rather heartwarming in the end, what a great show.

so, we'll all flip the calendar, back to the drab cardboard backing.
i wouldn't say 07 was one of the best years of my life, short as it is. but whatever it is, a year has come and gone. and i guess, i saw a bunch of extraordinary things, that i never used to believe in.

friends are like droplets from the spray of a water hose.
what with everyone going to different schools/countries and all, we end up keeping in touch with only those whom we truly hold close to our hearts, dont you think? and thus we see more clearly, who are the coveted lifelong friends we so seek.

2007 was also a year of record breaking results. and it will be the first and last year of records of this sort, i swear

so much more, but this is not the place. call me a private person, but i hardly see the point of blogs unless one seriously types 80% of what he/she thinks. which means that, this blog is rather meaningless. yeaa and i just typed a whole entry haa what the hell

together now, throw up your hands in the air, and say
goodbye 2007

, will you smile when waving?
